CORE UPDATE: A Legion server that bets on quality
Over the past few weeks, the Hellgarve development team has been working on a major core update.
It is now LIVE.
More concretely, this involves upgrading parts of our database infrastructure, as well as modernizing the core code, its technologies, and dependencies.
All of this will allow us to introduce new systems and fixes tailored to this new infrastructure. Because our ambition is to offer you the highest quality content possible.

NEW FIXES (05/15/2026)
[Core update: Crash Fixes]

Shared damage – Resolved an issue where DealDamage would traverse the active shared-damage aura list while subsequent damage calls modified the aura state. It now processes a copy of the list and applies shared damage only after validating the aura data.

Victim selection – Fixed a taunt-aura loop during creature victim selection that could persist after the original caster was gone. The process now operates within clear bounds and correctly skips invalid entries.

Battlegrounds and PvP – Fixed a server crash occurring when players left a Battleground while in combat. General instability caused by specific PvP interactions has also been resolved.

Decomposing aura (DK) – Fixed a bug in the target filtering logic where certain target types caused the filter loop to hang, potentially freezing the server thread.

NEW FIXES (05/18/2026)
[Core update: Crash Fix]
- Keep waypoint paths stable across reloads - Adjusted waypoint reload handling so active creatures do not keep references to waypoint paths that were erased and recreated during reload.
This should prevent rare crashes when active grids keep NPCs moving while waypoint data is reloaded or refreshed.
[Core update: WQs/Gossip]
- Refresh World Quest state for already-unlocked players - Adjusted the custom World Quest unlock handler so affected characters who already had the unlock completed now receive an immediate World Quest state refresh when that check runs, instead of remaining stuck until reconnection.
- Fixed selection fallback - Corrected gossip selection fallback so script/AI-handled options are not accidentally passed through the default DB gossip path afterward.
- Fixed NPC gossip menu state - Adjusted gossip menu initialization so scripted NPCs, including innkeepers and vendors, do not inherit stale or empty menu state from previous interactions. Fixed Solocraft Insurance Adjuster and Teleporter.
[Core update: The Black Temple]
- Fixed Supremus door progression - Corrected progression so the main temple door after Supremus opens through the proper instance progression path.
- Fixed Illidari Council loot credit - Adjusted Illidari Council event credit handling so the encounter correctly preserves loot eligibility and progression credit on the Council kill path.
This also helps the scripted Council death flow keep player/group reward ownership instead of losing credit when the controller handles the final event state.
- Fixed Illidan scripted death loot credit - Adjusted Illidan’s scripted death flow so player/group loot and kill credit are preserved before the encounter transitions into the final scripted death state.
This covers damage coming from players, pets, or charmed units and prevents the final scripted handling from losing reward ownership.
Players can now loot Illidan and receive related achievement.

Fixed a crash related to item level checks when an item has missing template data.

Improved waypoint reload safety so active NPC/player movement paths use local snapshots instead of unsafe shared waypoint references.

Fixed trainer gossip option filtering – Valid trainer options can show correctly while trainer access is still validated when opening the trainer list.

Herb garden level 3 – Missing objects have been added. Architectural table phase out applied until the objective is complete.
